We went camping on Hunting Island in South Carolina this weekend. We had a blast! It was about a 5 hour drive but both the kids did great.
Our first stop was at the Georgia Music Hall of Fame in Macon Georgia. It was sooooo fun. It was a lot more fun and interesting than we thought it was going to be. If we had known how fun it was we would have started out earlier on our journey so we could have spent more time there. There are a lot of famous musicians who are from Georgia like the Indigo Girls, REM, Ray Charles, Trisha Yearwood, Alan Jackson, Gladys Knight and many others. Jensen was so excited to see all the instruments and was quite entertained. After we had been there an hour we found the children’s section. There were lots of things to do. One room had musical instruments that you could play. Jensen saw the drum set and was thrilled when I told him he could play it. He jammed out for as long as our ears could stand it. He loved it.
Jensen loved the ocean. From the moment he saw it he didn’t want to leave it. He always wanted the go play in the water. The weather was good. It rained at night and was sunny during the day. The storm that first night really put our tent to the test but it passed with flying colors.
Siesa and Jensen were dirty from the moment we got there until we left. Siesa ate so much sand I am surprized she isn't sick.
Jensen was sooo excited to go camping. This was when I was trying to pack he was pretending to body surf. Once he saw the ocean and saw me and Derek body surfing he said that he was too little to do that.
