I have been a big slacker when to comes to blogging these days. Derek has been very busy at work the few months. My brother and his wife lived with us for a month while they found another place to live here in Atlanta. My sister and husband came a visited for a few days so me and the kids have been keeping busy. Here are some of the fun things we have been up to.

Jensen gave his first primary talk a few weeks ago. He did great! Another little boy that had the scripture had his memorized too, so the sun beams rocked the house. Here is a recording of it.

Our preschool group went to the Civil War and Railroad Museum in Kennesaw. We had a great time. What little boy wouldn’t have fun in a whole museum all about trains?

Here some fun pictures of my kids playing dress ups

Caught Red Handed

"Uh . . . Where’s Siesa?" “I don't know. You should find her" “You better come take a look!"

Siesa was sitting in the dark, very happily eating stolen chocolates. What next!

A little about our Christmas

We have had a very busy month. We went to Utah for a few weeks to visit family and had a great time.

Jensen LOVED the snow, he wanted to play in it everyday. He keeps asking me if we can go back to Utah to play in the snow. Siesa on the other hand enjoyed it the first time but did not like it much after that.

Enjoying our Christmas gifts.

Siesa getting her first real hear cut by Grandma. I always thought Siesa’s hair was too short to fix but really I just needed to learn how from the professional. Thanks again Debbie.

While in Utah we left the kids with Grandma and Grandpa for the night and we went for a night on the town to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary. We had a very relaxing trip. Five years and still in love!

Thanksgiving Entertainment

We had a few friends over to eat Thanksgiving dinner. When we were eating dinner Derek noticed someone walking around the house behind us with a flash light. No one is living in the house so the boys went to investigate. It looked like they were steeling stuff from the house so we called the cops. We kept peeking out the window to see what would happen. When the Cops showed up we saw them shine their flashlight on the guy in the driveway who was getting in his car to leave. The police man got back in his car without talking to the man and came over to our house. We explained to him our reasons for being concerned. Just then, the car that was in the driveway of the house made a speedy exit. The police officer asked us if that was the guy. When we told him that it was he looked to his partner and said, “Oh, we should probably go ask him some questions.” The police men got back in their car and tried to catch, the man, but by this time he was long gone. I don’t know why they didn’t talk to him the first time. The police officer told us that maybe the guy was just looking to buy the house…on Thanksgiving…in the dark…with no “for sale” sign in the front yard…yeah right. At least we did our part.

Happenings

Here are some of the fun things that we have been up too.

Last Sunday I walked into the living room and Derek was quietly rocking the kids. Too cute

We made a Thanksgiving decoration today.
The finished product! Yes, I know Siesa doesn’t have her pants on. If she could have figured out how to unbutton her sweater she probably would have been naked, keeping her clothes on can sometimes be quite a challenge.

We have already corrupted our kids and shown them how much fun the stairs, a sleeping bag and a mattress can be (thanks Toni).

We went to the High museum of Art. Siesa and Jensen loved playing on this table putting blocks through the holes in the table.

Bug Fun

Here are some pictures of our Halloween costumes. Jensen was a cockroach (yes, a cockroach, that was his request and he would not be talked out of it, it’s a good thing I have some experience in sewing), Siesa was a dragonfly, Derek was a spider and I was a butterfly. We went to a ward Halloween trunk or treat. Jensen was running around the whole night hissing at people being a scary cockroach. He enjoyed the Trunk or treat a lot but about half way through he said “I am done getting candy my bag is getting too heavy” I was thinking, great, less candy I will have to throw away so we stopped. Siesa on the other hand just wanted to eat everything she got as soon as she got it.

I forgot to put on there antenas, oops
